The Wilder Life

I am officially one of those moms with a blog. How can I not be? Have you seen this face?

I know every mom thinks their baby is cute … But seriously … Have you seen this face?
And so I am a mom blogger. It’s really kind of the perfect thing for a new mom with one free hand in 20 minute increments 8 times a day and an iPhone with a WordPress app.
I have often said this motherhood thing is a two handed job. But pleasantly the nursing thing is down to one hand and rumor has it that at some point this brilliant creature will be a hands free device in the eating department. And so I will blog. Because I’m a mom who’s so in love with my ridiculously cute baby. And everyone cares about his every move. Because I’m a mom and suddenly have an opinion/am an expert on a multitude of products and practices I didn’t know existed weeks ago. And everyone wants to hear my opinion on them all.
Mostly I will blog for all our sweet friends and family who are too far away in distance and so close in our hearts who want to watch Wilder grow. And I will blog so as to release all my useless thoughts in a place other than the ear of any poor soul willing to listen …

About Amanda Jean Elliott

I am a joyful believer in Jesus Christ, a mother, a sister, a writer, a maker of gluten free roux and a style editor. I love my son Wilder and the wild life that comes with a 4-year-old who has the energy of a pack of wolves. I also love naps (a lot). I love to cook and create my favorite dishes without gluten not because I'm trendy and anti-gluten so much as it makes me feel like I've been run over by a pack of wolves. I teach 5th and 6th grade girls Sunday School and have a classroom of the greatest girls I could imagine. Girls who often teach me more than I teach them. I believe these girls and many others are the spark to start a fire for The Lord the likes of which this world has never seen. I see more and more girls learning about more than just who God is ... but, learning about who God says THEY are. It is my prayer for every woman to know without doubt that we have a good good Father in heaven and whatever is not right on this earth, He will make right in this life or the next.
